Fuerteventura is the second biggest Canary Island (after Tenerife). It is situated at 28°20' north, 14°00' west, off the African coast. It has the longest beaches of any of the Canary Islands, with over 50km of white sandy beaches. The closest Canary Island to it is Lanzarote, which you can see from Coralejo harbour.

Coast and beaches Its is only five minutes drive to the famous sand dunes of Flag Beach, which are popular with water sports enthusiasts and sun bathers. Corralejo has several pretty beaches, with good snorkelling around the coral reefs. There are plenty of idyllic beaches to explore including the blue lagoons at El Cotillo ten minutes drive away, and good surf at Majanicho close to that area.

Boat Trips Plentiful from Corralejo harbour either to the neighbouring islands of Lobos and Lanzarote or on a glass bottomed boat, leisurely catamaran sailing, or for fishing trips.

Eating Out Corralejo has a wide variety of good and reasonable places to eat : Spanish, Chinese, English, Indian, Italian, Mexican, Argentinean, Japanese and of course Canarian. Activities Corralejo boasts a water park, ten pin bowling, a golf driving range, trampolining, crazy golf and a twice weekly market. There are shops and streets of all sizes to explore or why not join the locals and sit in one of the many cafes or bars, eating tapas, drinking coffee and watching the world go by.
